Annual Art Festivals
The Annual Art Festivals organised by SICA attract a huge gathering of art lovers of the twin cities. The Association takes care in inviting top class internationally reputed artists for the prestigious annual event. Those who rendered concerts for SICA were Ms. M S Subbalakshmi, Ms. M L Vasanthakumari, Ms. Parveen Sultana, Ms. Kishori Amonkar, Sarvasri G N Balasubramanyam, Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, M D Ramanathan, Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer, Shaik Chinna Moulana Saheb, M S Gopalakrishnan, Lalgudi G Jayaraman, Madurai Mani Iyer, Pandit Jasraj, Amjad Ali Khan and Hariprasad Chaurasia, to name a few. These annual art festivals are a star attraction for the art lovers and the connoisseurs of classical music and dance.
The Association has set apart a separate Music Competition Fund by securing donations for the purpose. The proceeds out of this fund are and will be utilized for conducting competitions for various young age Groups in Carnatic classical music (vocal) and for awarding prizes to the winners.
SICA organized Commemoration events like 600th Annamayya Jayanthi Celebrations and GNB Centenary Concerts. Furthermore, it holds annual events like Vinjamuri concerts, Ella Foundation concerts, Shantamma Memorial concerts and Kalyani Balakrishna Iyer Memorial concerts.
